Your character wakes up in a neat bedroom in their team carriage, in nondescript underwear. They might be missing their memories, or their special abilities, or they may just feel a little queasy. Next to them is what seems to be a smartphone, which they know how to use even if they never had before, even if they don't know if they have before. On the screen is a simple message:
Welcome aboard the Aurora!★ One
You have been selected by the Star Prince as a potential hero, tasked with saving the universe from Malice. As a passenger I, your Construct and Conductor, will attempt to provide you with quality lodgings and safety. In return, we ask that you join your fellows in making bonds and doing your utmost to bring joy back to the Stars.
Due to the process of restoring your body, you may find some things are missing. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to return them to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.
Upon investigation, you'll find some basic clothes matching your team's theme in the storage provided in your room. Or, perhaps, you're wandering out of the room still undressed. Either way, downstairs you'll find someone has left a tray of cups of hot tea on the living room table. Drinking it may be simply pleasant, or it may cause you to feel a sudden need to warm up to the others in your carriage -- emotionally or physically. Welcome to the team, newbie!
☆ Two
Shortly after your arrival, you find yourself wrapped up in some monster NPC's Game. You're inside what appears to be a stone temple, with a massive golden scale on one wall. Suddenly, on one side, a heavy metal weight is dropped. As the scales tip out of balance, the floor begins to slowly disappear, brick by brick, ready to drop you -- and whoever is with you -- into an abyss. Your only hope comes in the form of an inscription on the altar:
How much do your secrets weigh?Every secret you tell causes a weight to fall onto the other side of the scale. The bigger the secret, the bigger the weight. If you can collectively tip the scales, the floor will quit dropping bricks and a door will appear to allow you back to the train. If you can't, you'll fall, seemingly forever, til you pass out. When you wake up you'll find yourself unable to lie.
★ Three
You've been on the Aurora for a while, maybe you've even started to grow used to it. Used to the train, used to used to the slow but steady revival of the world around you into something less hostile, used to the trials, maybe even used to the people. The singing tree, however, is new. You're pretty sure that tree wasn't there yesterday. You know the singing wasn't. But it's here now. And it's LOUD. Almost unbearably so, enough to come seeping through if you cover your ears. Somehow it even seems to come through if you somehow have the ability (whether mechanical or magical) to seal off your hearing...? If you compliment the tree, however, it stops singing for five minutes. It may even stop altogether if you hug it. But are you willing to risk looking that silly?.

Wildcard. Make up your own prompt! Check out the setting and team pages for info on the train. If you have any questions, ask on the q&a page. Otherwise, apps open on August 8! In the meantime you're free to join us on Discord.
Sarangerel Kagon | Warrior of Light OC
[It's confusing, waking up and realizing you don't have a single useful memory in your head. She'd have been more concerned about it, if not for the message on the device by her bed — the idea of being a hero tasked with a mission to save the universe felt like a completely comfortable role for her to fill in, for whatever reason. While she still had her reservations about her memories going missing, she'd have to trust in her instincts for now, and go with the flow of this place. And if she were to do that, she'd have to first get dressed and go downstairs...
Once she does, she gravitates towards the tea curiously, lifting a cup up but not yet taking a sip, merely feeling it warm her fingers as she held it in her hands, and inhaling the aroma softly. Oh, wait, is she even allowed to take one of these?]
Are these for everyone...?
[She glances around, trying to see if anyone was there to answer.]
☆ Two
Unfortunately, I'm fresh out of secrets.
[She admits to the other party, tapping a finger against her cheek with quite a worried expression.]
I don't... have any memories to recall.
[Meanwhile, if you wait until after the game, you have the lovely opportunity of approaching her when she can't lie!
...Which isn't all too bad when you don't even have things to lie about, but ah well. Surely there's some way to take advantage of it.]

[The problem is, this girl happens to be grumpy when she doesn't get her sleep, and that singing tree definitely woke her up out of a dead sleep. Instead of even considering to compliment the tree, she's instead outside in her pajamas grumbling out insults at the tree, arms crossed over her chest as she circles around it.]
If I had a hatchet...
[She threatened, which only seems to make the singing grow louder.]
2
Oh, haha.
I don't... [She shouldn't keep secrets though, right? But it's scary to just say things.]
Well ah, I'm the Devil? Oh, wait, but that's not really a secret, is it? [Goodbye she is dying. It is time to perish.]
no subject
[Okay, never mind, don't have time to unpack why this sweet young girl thinks she's a devil.]
Okay. Uhm. Gods, this is very hard. Okay. We can do this. It's fine.
[She'll just have to take charge!! Somehow.]
...Sometimes I take too long in the shower and waste water because I like the way the hot water feels.
[the tiniest, smallest pebble clunks down. nailed it.]

[ You're just minding your own business in the lounge one day, when suddenly, from behind you, you hear … ]
[ CHIRP. ]
[ It sounds like canary — a giant canary, the size of a dog, or maybe a small horse. Except when you turn to look, you find that it's not a horse. It's a … dragon … thing … A feathery dragon-thing with a hat perched jauntily on its head and a pair of pants around its neck like a scarf. ]
[ Congratulations on your new teammate! ]

Oh my gosh! Baby, hello!

[ She's sitting on her butt like a Big Ol' Cat, around about lion-sized (if significantly longer), with her wings tuck neatly against her back. Her feathers glitter iridescent where they catch the light. ]
[ Cheep cheep! Her tail swishes, crooking at the tip … and even as she stretches out her snoot to sniff at Eliza, she's watching her face intently. ]

Heine Rammsteiner | DOGS: Bullets & Carnage
[ Today’s new teammate is a slender, rather pretty young man, extremely pale, with red eyes and white hair raked back out of his eyes. He seems to be poking around the train car, peering dubiously at the decor while sipping his tea and grimacing at the taste.
There’s a piece of metal jutting out the back of his neck, surrounded by heavy scarring that trails along his spine, disappearing under his shirt collar. Also, he appears to be talking to no one--or at least, no one that you can hear. ]
Shut up, no one asked you.
2. Weighing Secrets
[ What do his secrets weigh? ...A lot. A whole fucking lot. But at least this isn’t the city where those secrets have—probably have—he can’t remember exactly but he’s pretty fucking sure—gotten far too many people killed.
No, he’s just never talked about any of the shit he’s remembered, not the inexplicable healing abilities or the metal jutting out of the back of his neck or the terrifying facility with guns or the, uh, homicidal voice in his spine that he occasional talks back to, out loud... Because why would he talk about any of that shit if no one’s asked? ]
...Fuck. Ask me whatever you want, I’ll tell you if I remember. There’s a lot I haven’t talked about. I guess.
[ Heine doesn’t exactly look happy about this, but he’s also not willing to let his teammates die for his secrets, either. ]
3. Singing Tree
[ Heine is not going to compliment the singing tree. No, he’s going to kick it. He’s going to kick it so hard the whole thing shakes and then kick it again for good measure. Maybe if he does it enough times it’ll take a hint? ]
Shut the fuck up!
[ ...and then, to seemingly no one: ]
...And you, you can shut up too!

Ravus Nox Fleuret | FF:Canceled DLCs Galore | Teamless | I am making a mistake | Help me
[The Lord High Commander's duties brought him to and fro across the great and ever growing expanse of the empire. He was known to sleep in many different suitable quarters.
This was not one of them.
He's been drugged and kidnapped. How could he have allowed this to happen? Careless. There is no shortage of enemies who would do this. Wary, alert, he walks to the door, surpised to find that it opens.
A trap, certainly.
Still, curiosity and self-preservation drive him to explore his surroundings. The moment he comes upon a person he dashes forward to sweep them up in his magitek arm. It seems he was not the only one who was careless, but he will see his captors pay for their mistake.]
Explain yourself.
[The way his hand tightens just so is tell enough that he will not ask twice.]
☆ Two
An asinine waste of time.
[So declares the High Commander. He scoffs and folds his arms. He has ever kept his own counsel and sees no reason for that to change.
Or so he would have all others believe.
His lips thin because it is not so simple. He knows what's at stake, but leaving aside the multitude of military secrets (rendered largely useless by his circumstances), the only secrets of worth he has largely revolve around the remnants of his universe.
And he'd dare not chance her to anyone.
...]
That companion of that fool prince is not as incompetent as I might have thought.
[The scales tip a little.]
★ Three
Be silent.
[He hisses the comand, positively caustic before throwing a devastating punch with his magitek arm.
...
It only sings louder.]
Oh for--!
☆ Four
[Hit me.]
1
You start.

Damn, the guy is strong. ]
All right tough guy - calm down, I have very sticky hands and I'm not afraid to use them?
[ Maybe not the best thing to say to someone who already decided he's a threat. ]
Ryousuke "Kit" Kitson | OC
[This new kid has not figured out how to wear clothes and does not appear to be fully awake, but more pressing may be the fact that he is missing an arm. He stumbles out of his room, bouncing off of the doorframe and grumbling sleepily to himself, following his nose to the scent of tea, hand outstretched towards the table.]
Nghhhh... morning. S'there any coffee?
☆ Two
How much do my secrets weigh?? I don't know any heavy secrets! What if I add up a bunch of small secrets, will that be enough? I'm scared of clowns. I still can't remember which carriage is my room half the time. Even though I know it won't work I keep trying to take books out of the library every day. I don't like carrots so I've been sneaking vegetables into my teammates rations. Is that enough?
★ Three
[Dignity? Who cares about that. He's totally hugging the tree.]
There there. You're such a good tree. So vibrant and energetic and sweet. You're thriving so well, I'm so proud.
ALL THESE ARE SO GOOD I'M GOING WITH 1 but please know that it was a hard choice
If she looks surprised or put off by the fact that there is a new arrival, she does not show it.]
There is, yes. [but coffee is inferior. ick. w/e she can make a decent cup.]
How do you take it?
The answer is to have three separate threads with me obviously
